Job Description
The Business Analyst (BA) role is vital to the innovation and success of Brink’s, ensuring that new products and platforms are designed, developed, and launched effectively. This role partners closely with Product Owners, Product Managers, Engineering, Design, and business stakeholders to translate business needs and user problems into clear, actionable requirements. This role ensures that product solutions deliver measurable business value, align with strategic goals, and meet customer needs throughout the product lifecycle.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
Product & Requirements Analysis
- Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for new platforms, products and enhancements
- Translate business needs into user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and process flows
- Ensure requirements are clear, testable, prioritized, and aligned with product strategy
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, product, engineering, UX, and QA teams
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and grooming sessions to validate requirements and assumptions
- Manage stakeholder expectations by clearly communicating scope, timelines, and tradeoffs
Delivery Support
- Support Agile/Scrum teams through backlog refinement, sprint planning, and sprint reviews
- Assist Product Owners with backlog prioritization and dependency management
- Clarify requirements during development and ensure alignment throughout delivery
- Collaborate with QA to develop testing approach, including internal and external validation
Data & Impact Analysis
- Support definition of KPIs and success metrics for product features
- Help evaluate post-release performance and recommend improvements
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or risks in product and business processes
- Recommend process improvements and support implementation of best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a product development environment
- Strong experience writing user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria
- Experience working with Product Owners managers and cross-functional product teams
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product development lifecycles
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Strong communication and facilitation skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using product and analytics tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Aha!, Productboard, SQL, BI tools)
- Global experience (delivering products and solutions across varying countries, to include eliciting requirements across countries)
- CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile certification a plus
