Our high profile client and multi-national corporation is seeking an experienced Cable Install Technician/ Cable Installer for a 3-11 month onsite contract assignment focused on infrastructure cabling across the Columbus area. The ideal candidate has a background in infrastructure cable installation / cabling experience and this opportunity has the potential to convert to permanent with this company.

Job Title: Cable Installation Technician 

Location: Columbus, OH area 

Pay Range:  $25/HR on Experis W2

What’s the Job?

• Install, test and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling, including patch panels and patch cords
• Work with a partner to move enterprise equipment from loading docks
• Report current status via ticketing system, status reports, and email
• Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain collocation space cleanliness

What’s Needed?

• 1+ years of structured cabling experience – infrastructure cabling experience preferred
• Understanding of best practices for install, bend radius, pulling in without damage
• Datacenter cable experience nice to have (not required)
