Our client is seeking a PostgreSQL DBA Engineer to join their team. 

Title: PostgreSQL DBA Engineer
Permanent
Location: Jersey City, NJ (or White Plains, NY) 
Hybrid: 2 days onsite, 3 days remote
Pay: $170k-$180k 

Seeking a PostgreSQL Server Support Specialist for PostgreSQL 15 platforms. Responsibilities include system administration, troubleshooting, monitoring, DB installation, backup, replication, tuning, and user support. Implement security measures, research innovative solutions, and automate tasks. Conduct DR tests, collaborate with Cybersecurity, adhere to change control, and maintain documentation. Effective communication with Infrastructure team and management required.

Requirements: 

• Must have strong day to day experience with performance testing, tuning, automation. 
• Experience with PostgreSQL 15 administration.
• Experience with installation, configuration and maintenance of PostgreSQL on Redhat OS
• Experience with high availability and disaster recovery, backups/restores
• Understanding on change control, upgrade, and release deployment activities
• Knowledge of database security, access control, monitoring, and auditing
• Experience with DB authentication via AD or Azure AD
• Experience that is a major plus: Microsoft SQL Server administration
• Working experience in a financial environment
