Model Based Systems Engineer – Associate

Why This is an Exciting Role:

As a Model Based Systems Engineer – Associate at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics you will be responsible forworking in an Agile, Digital Engineering environment,using Model Based Systems Engineering principles and methodologies to develop and integrate physical, functional, and program interfaces and to define system enhancements to the GMD Weapon System. The specific tasks associated with this position are:

• Support developing architecting solutions from user requirements and use cases to be applied across a system engineering lifecycle through design, integration, and verification and validation (V&V)
• Support with creation, delivery and maintenance of architecture descriptions, digital models, and other architecture products as appropriate.
• Support with definition, integration, and assessment of quality and completeness of the functional, allocated and product architecture from which a system can be designed, operated, and supported.
• Develop and deliver products such as architecture models/documents, requirements databases, specifications, reports, etc.
• Support Architecture Working Groups with the customer and components
• Support element level technical reviews
• Work with cross functional teams to create modeling approaches, style guides, work instructions, metrics, etc

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:

Required Education and Years of Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with applying Model Based Systems Engineering principles and methodologies
• Experience utilizing SysML and tool suites such as: Cameo/MSOSA, and/or Rhapsody
• The ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and sustainment.

• This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.

This position requires clearing a background check and an enhanced Personal Conflict of Interest (PCI) requirements as a condition for employment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience building architectural models using MBSE methodologies, best practices and tools
• Experience with or on, the GMD program, working with the Missile Defense Agency
• Experience with Agile framework
• Experience briefing content to stakeholders

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$68,000 – $120,000
