Schedule: 8AM-4:30PM (Monday-Friday)
Pay: $21.50/hourly
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Assurance Representative to join our client’s food manufacturing team. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet food safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout production. The ideal candidate has a passion for food safety, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with food safety standards (GMPs, HACCP, FSMA)
- Conduct inspections of equipment, production lines, and sanitation practices
- Document and report quality issues, deviations, and corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation in a timely manner
- Assist with internal audits and support third-party inspections
- Enforce company quality policies and food safety procedures
- Collaborate with production and sanitation teams to improve product quality
- Collect samples for laboratory testing as required
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, or related field preferred
- 1+ years of experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, or related field (preferred but not required)
- Knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, FSMA) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, data entry systems)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in production environments (cold, wet, or noisy conditions)
