About the Position

The role of the Quality Assurance Specialist is to assist site-level designees in the continuous improvement of the site quality management system and ensure that processes and procedures are developed in line with applicable standards and customer requirements. The Quality Assurance Specialist will serve as a site leader in mentoring and assisting site quality designees in the development of the QMS and serve as an educator to the existing operational personnel on quality management system requirements. The role will also support and assess the implementation of the Kenco O/S as it relates to quality assurance.

Functions

• Second level of individual contributor job progression

• Under broad supervision, conducts non-routine analysis and tests/inspections. Resolving most questions and problems and recommends necessary changes. May assist in the development of new methods and procedures.

• Identify opportunities for improvement to the QMS and assist sites in implementing improvement projects.

  • Administer corporate internal audit program to ensure compliance to the quality management system through training auditors, auditing processes and procedures, and measuring results.
  • Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards across multiple sites.
  • Assist start-up accounts in the implementation of their quality management system and onboard all personnel to the QMS.

• Collect and compile statistical quality data and analyze to identify areas for improvement to the quality management system across multiple sites.

• Perform Kenco O/S assessments as they relate to quality and mentor site personnel in their Kenco O/S journey in relation to quality.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field required or equivalent years of experience required. Equivalent years of experience is defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested
  • 3-5 years' experience in a quality assurance role in the industry for the position
  • Knowledge and experience with ISO 9001:2015 or the applicable standard for the position industry
  • Lead Auditor Certification preferred

Travel Requirements

  • This position is expected to travel approximately 25% – 50%.
