Leidos Inc. is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our project team located in The Hague, Netherlands supporting NATO’s independent Programme Office for enhanced Air Command and Control (eAirC2). The selected candidate will serve as the senior technical authority for the Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tool suite used by the independent Programme Office to develop an AirC2 capability design. This position offers a unique opportunity to join a high-profile team of international system-of-systems (SOS) subject matter experts and be a part of the engineering lifecycle from concept through delivery. This is a multi-year programme focused on data centric, MBSE practices and the injection of advanced technologies to enhance current mission capabilities. You will integrate, customize, and administer the MBSE tool suite for open, transparent and rapid technology assessment based on open architectures and system federation. The tools suite will produce digital deliverables, which include requirements, design, systems, behaviours, interfaces, architectural models, and operational processes. The tools suite will be configured to enable federation of data and systems at the speed and scale relevant to the Customer. System engineering activities will be performed from within the tool suite allowing for enhanced risk reduction, sustainment, integration, verification, and validation.
Primary Responsibilities

Work closely with the technical team and customer to sustain and grow the GFE environment and infrastructure to ensure it continues to support the tool suite and user base.

Perform custom integrations with the tool suite to ensure interoperability and connectivity at any level necessary.

Perform day-to-day maintenance and administration of the integrated tool suite to ensure that the working environment is reliable and accessible at all times.

Facilitate automation and technology insertion into the toolchain as necessary to drive ever-increasing efficiency, performance and productivity over time.

Continuously build out the toolchain over the life of the programme to encompass the entire product management lifecycle. This includes the addition, integration, and automation of new tools and interfaces as the Programme identifies them.

Provide expertise to assist the technical team in leveraging the tool suite to produce real-time, on-demand, digital MBSE product deliverables and perspectives tailored to the preferences of the stakeholder community.
Basic Qualifications

Process optimization and automation experience
-
Hands-on experience with pipeline automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Ansible)

Demonstrated experience with Languages including Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, Ruby, PHP, and Unix shell Scripting

Fluent with Git and version control best practices, including branching and merging strategies

Demonstrated experience installing/configuring/troubleshooting Enterprise tools such as: Sparx Enterprise Architect, Jira, Confluence, Git, Jama, Lemontree, Test Rail, SharePoint

Hands-on experience with VMware technologies (e.g., vSphere, Horizon, VDI).

Fundamental background with software design patterns and programming languages.

Excellent written and verbal English language skills sufficient for effective communications of complex topics with senior level leaders across the NATO community

Access to NATO Cosmic Top Secret (national clearance equivalent)

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline with 12+ years of relevant system-of-systems engineering experience; or a master’s degree with 10+ years of prior relevant experience

Advanced soft skills and emotional intelligence to deal with high complexity, political influence, and a multi-cultural work environment.

Leadership traits developed in an international work environment, self-motivation, and an orientation towards results through the relentless pursuit of continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience working within an engineering team and supporting architects, engineers, developers, and MBSE activities.

Expertise in Sparx Enterprise Architect or similar architecture tools and modeling languages (UML, SysML)

Expertise in Artificial Intelligence technologies such as Agentic CLIs including Claude Code/Codex/Gemini CLI, ML, NLP, Expert Systems, etc.

Professional cybersecurity certification such as Security+, or similar.

Experience mentoring and developing junior team members

A mature and compelling vision, along with an in-depth understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts, for how to create a data centric system-of-systems capability for advanced command and control of a globally deployed and federated asset base.

C2 domain knowledge in the aerospace defense sector

Pay Range:
Pay Range $107,900.00 – $195,050.00
