Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a Software Engineer to join an enterprise IT program. We are looking for a Software Engineer with full stack development, cloud engineering/architecture, and containerization experience to create custom applications, scripts, and/or solutions in support of requirements for analysis on high priority intelligence issues.

In this role you will create custom tool sets; custom software, data extract, transform and load solutions for a wide variety of datasets and deliver those solutions via various infrastructure configurations such as on cloud infrastructure, on-premises-and-cloud hybrid infrastructure, or on local infrastructure. As a highly skilled Software Developer, you will use coding best practices and adhere to security requirements to develop innovative user interface designs in response to analyst, user analyses, product innovation, technology, and business needs. Your work will include:

• Supporting and/or creating databases to connect to applications, as necessary.
• Ensuring user interface guidelines and standards are followed during the development and maintenance of the product.
• Presenting design concepts and negotiating with stakeholders to arrive at a design which supports both the business need and a strong user experience.
• Conducting and participating in product usability tests.
• Communicating and working effectively with cross-functional team members including but not limited to analysts, data scientists, management, project managers, and software solutions integrators.
• Maintaining existing applications or developed applications per required enterprise or local requirements such as patching or other updates or upgrades.
• Creating and/or maintaining documentation on technical solutions to include architecture diagrams, minimum viable product templates, user guides, user or functional testing instructions, quick references, development framework guides, APIs, and documentation related to technical solutions developed.

Required Security Clearance:

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 10+ years of experience. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Demonstrated experience with setting up and maintaining Cloud based DevOps functionality.
• Demonstrated experience with Java, JavaScript, Python or similar development languages and associated frameworks for applications development such as Flask, ReactJS or similar.
• Demonstrated experience working with data in, and developing applications with, SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Demonstrated experience documenting system design and architecture.
• Demonstrated strong coordination and collaboration skills with ability to work successfully across organizational boundaries.
• Demonstrated experience with performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting and de-bugging applications and services.
• Demonstrated experience developing, deploying and maintaining containerized applications and databases.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:

• Demonstrated experience with the client’s deployment of AWS, experience deploying applications within the client’s environment.
• Demonstrated experience working in an Agile software development cycle.
• Demonstrated experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Demonstrated experience with geospatial data, visualization, and relevant analytic methods and tools.
• Demonstrated experience manipulating large datasets.
• Demonstrated experience with open source data engineering tools and processes.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 – $220,900.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
