Systems Engineer III – AV Specialist (In Office)

Overview:

This is an in office role and will be located in the Raleigh, North Carolina office.

 

This position focuses on supporting advanced audio-visual (AV) and collaboration technologies, with an emphasis on Microsoft Teams Rooms and supporting Zoom, Webex, and Custom AV solutions. This position provides advanced production support, project management, and mentorship for the enterprise’s AV infrastructure.

 

The Ideal candidate excels in technical problem-solving, system optimization, and enhancing user experience across collaboration platforms. They are responsible for planning and project management, complex problem resolution, and advanced production support for the Bank’s systems infrastructure. Provides expert guidance and mentorship on system technical support, maintenance, and enhancement. Monitors overall systems performance to identify potential issues and tune appropriately. Addresses failed components or technical issues and provides resolution. Oversees the work of less experienced associates and serves as a technical resource to wider business unit.

Responsibilities:

 

    • AV Technical Support and Administration
      • Lead technical support for enterprise AV systems primarily Microsoft Teams Rooms while supporting Webex, Zoom, and custom AV solutions.
      • Install, test, and maintain AV software, hardware, and associated components, ensuring seamless integration and reliability.
      • Resolve complex AV-related technical issues, providing expert guidance and documentation throughout the resolution process.
      • Design and manage processes for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving AV system performance issues.
    • System Enhancement and Innovation
      • Continuously improve AV and collaboration systems by automating repetitive tasks, scripting solutions, and optimizing configurations.
      • Research and implement cutting-edge AV technologies to enhance meeting room capabilities and user experience.
      • Design and deliver custom AV solutions tailored to unique business requirements ensuring scalability and reliability.
    • Collaboration Platform Management
      • Administer and optimize Microsoft Teams Rooms, Webex, and Zoom environments, ensuring compatibility and performance across devices and networks.
      • Coordinate testing and deployment of new features, patches, and upgrades for collaborations platforms.
    • Project Management and Mentorship
      • Plan, Manage, and deliver AV and collaboration projects, including system rollouts, upgrades, and custom implementations.
      • Provide mentorship and training to junior team members team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
      • Communicate technical information clearly to associates, vendors, and business partners, ensuring alignment on goals and expectations.
    • Disaster Recovery and Security
      • Develop and maintain process for AV system backups, recovery, and security to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.
      • Implement policies and controls to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with corporate standards.
    • Technical Expertise
      • Maintains a strong knowledge base through ongoing research and education. Communicates effective and clear technical information to associates, vendor support personnel, and internal clients. Manages special or advanced technical projects. Provides guidance, mentorship, and leadership to less experienced associates in the work group.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of experience in Systems engineer and systems programmer OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Systems engineer and systems programmer

 

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Area of Experience: Microsoft Teams Rooms and supporting Zoom, Webex, and Custom AV solutions

 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

 

    • Previous experience leading technical support for enterprise AV systems primarily Microsoft Teams Rooms while supporting Webex, Zoom, and custom AV solutions.
    • Knowledge of installing, testing, and maintaining AV software, hardware, and associated components, ensuring seamless integration and reliability.
    • Ability to resolve complex AV-related technical issues, providing expert guidance and documentation throughout the resolution process.
    • Design and manage processes for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving AV system performance issues.  
    • Administer and optimize Microsoft Teams Rooms, Webex, and Zoom environments, ensuring compatibility and performance across devices and networks.
    • Coordinate testing and deployment of new features, patches, and upgrades for collaborations platforms.  
    • Continuously work to maintains a strong knowledge base through ongoing research and education.
    • Means to communicates effective and clear technical information to associates, vendor support personnel, and internal clients.
    • Aptitude to manages special or advanced technical projects.
    • Background mentoring new and junior members to the team
    • Strong communications skills with the ability to give clear and tailored instructions.
