US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) supports DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team.

Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Work with a variety of functional groups to include Logistics, Systems and Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Software Teams to baseline processes, develop and validate engineering templates, and to support requirements analysis.
  • When required, responsible for analyzing requirements to complete reliable and accurate cost estimates for the US BICES Capability.
  • Elicit and analyze project requirements from stakeholders using various techniques such as interviews, workshops, and document analysis.
  • Document and prioritize requirements in a clear, concise, and structured manner using appropriate tools and templates.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure that requirements are aligned with project objectives, scope, and constraints.
  • Continuously improve requirements management processes, tools, and techniques based on industry best practices and lessons learned.
  • Develop and maintain documentation such as user guides, technical manuals, FAQs, tutorials, and release notes.
  • Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always on the lookout for new technologies, and works with management to evolve current processes.
  • Support analysis of alternatives for existing and potential roadmap technologies.
  • Provide Systems Engineering support to projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of directly related experience in systems engineering or IT integration as a defense contractor or the equivalent combination of education, technical certification or training.
  • Must possess and maintain US Secret Security Clearance Required, TS/SCI Clearance preferred.
  • A demonstrated strong working knowledge of Microsoft and Virtual infrastructure technologies.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to gather information and validate content for requirements analysis, engineering estimates, solution development, and technical documentation.
  • Experience and proficiency in documentation for knowledge management and information management tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and collaboration tools such as SharePoint and Confluence.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Agile, ITIL, DevOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, automated testing etc.
  • Experience with infrastructure including but not limited to: data center operations, server hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux), web servers (IIS, Apache, Tomcat), databases (MS SQL, MySQL, postgreSQL), virtualization (VMware), networking, storage, monitoring, etc.
  • Experience in infrastructure design and operations including load balancing app/db clustering, firewall rules, fail over, monitoring, diagnostics, and performance tuning, etc.
  • Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a TS/SCI Security Clearance.
