Technical Writer

Write technical materials, such as equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. A typical technical writer is responsible for organizing, editing and maintaining technical records and files.
The purpose of this team is under the Health division and using AI to predict, prevent, and detect outages; This role will contribute to make standardized and stream-lined and putting in a more cohesive documentation.

The role will consist of:

  • Publishing and documenting new features
  • Lot of Systems that are being supported internally that will need to be documented.
  • Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology
  • Maintain records and files of work and revisions
  • Confer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication

Qualifications:

  • Experience in in creating documentation for a technical audience
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Ability to read some programming code
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on Quality of Work and Meeting Deadlines

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
1. 1-2 years of experience Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills to communicate with Stakeholders
2. 1-2 years of Experience in in creating documentation for a technical audience
3. Some background (not extensive or fancy) in AI or Machine Learning (ML) (Nice to have; Not required)

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $34 to $37 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
