Overview

As a Principal Developer, you will take a leading role in driving platform automation and transformation through cutting-edge technologies, including Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and UI Path. You will design, develop, and enhance automated solutions that streamline business processes, optimize efficiency, and create scalable platforms, propelling the organization’s digital transformation.
In this strategic position, you’ll be responsible for translating technical specifications into high-impact applications, integrating platforms with other systems, and automating workflows to eliminate manual tasks. You’ll be at the forefront of modernizing operations through RPA, empowering the business to achieve new levels of efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead Large-Scale Application Development: Serve as a team leader on large-scale application development projects and programs, ensuring successful delivery of automated solutions that drive business transformation and platform efficiency.
  • Oversee 3rd Party Development Teams: Lead and direct third-party development programs, coordinating with external teams to ensure cohesive and aligned platform automation initiatives.
  • Champion Code Development Best Practices: Maintain and promote a deep understanding of leading software development practices, serving as a thought leader within the SGWS organization, and driving innovation in automation and platform development.
  • Facilitate Training & Education: Lead code development and engineering training programs, educating the IT team on the latest automation technologies, including RPA and UI Path, and fostering continuous learning.
  • Mentor Junior Developers: Provide coaching and development to junior developers, nurturing their growth in platform automation and application development.
  • Drive Business-Aligned Development: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and develop comprehensive work scopes, ensuring the solutions meet business objectives and data needs.
  • Lead Automation & Transformation: Spearhead the design, development, and integration of platform automation solutions using RPA, UI Path, and other cutting-edge technologies to streamline operations and eliminate manual tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of work experience and education
  • Five (5)+ years in an application development or comparable experience
  • Experience working with, and directing, third-party Application Development teams
  • Experience leading and supporting teams with large-scale Application Development projects / programs
  • Extensive experience across the entire project life cycle (SDLC) – be it implementing new software or enhancing existing functionality
  • Experience with interfaces into and from platforms (using APIs, ESB, SAP PI etc.
  • Participate in Agile teams
  • Drive Behavior-Driven-Design (BDD) process
  • Excellence in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills, ability to influence outcomes, and strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical, mathematic, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong team player with ability to demonstrate Agile delivery values working both within a team and working independently
  • Strategic thinker – can develop a plan to meet a long-term objective
  • Experience with Java, .NET, C# or related development technologies
  • Experience with UiPath , RPA and Document Understanding
  • Experience with process modeling and process mining

  • Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine
  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
