Position

A successful candidate has technical depth and hands-on implementation experience of various practices and tools in the DevOps toolchain. You are comfortable rolling up your sleeves to design and code modules for infrastructure, application, and processes. 

Responsibilities

  • Support Change Healthcare Big Data and Analytical platforms in production and development environments for collecting, storing, processing, and analyzing of terabytes of datasets 
  • Create backend and infrastructure solutions to deploy and manage production systems. 
  • Define standard practices and build tooling around incidents, postmortems, changes, and capacity and work with other Engineering teams to help them adopt these practices to improve their services 
  • Capacity planning and demand forecasting to meet systems demand, identifying performance bottlenecks and devising tuning improvements. Architect to optimize speed and cost for compute and storage. 
  • Help ensure that our systems meet general security standards. 
  • Create and maintain operational runbooks and documentation 
  • Secure and automate solutions through collaboration with InfoSec and Architecture resources 
  • Demonstrate excellent engineering & automation skills in the context of cloud based global platform/product delivery using continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) 
  • Demonstrate ability and interest to learn and adopt new and emerging cloud technologies 
  • Operational abilities including early life support and driving root cause analysis and remediation.  Able to distill complex technical challenges to actionable and explainable decisions  
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills to contribute as a leading member of global, distributed teams focused on delivering quality services and solutions 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalency (CS, CE, CIS, IS, MIS, or engineering discipline) 
  • Minimum of 5 + years of production applications and systems support and at least 2 years as DataOps / DevOps 
  • Scripting experience with Shell, Python or Ruby 
  • Proficiency working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) like EMR, Glue, Lambda, EC2, EBS, ELB, S3, Route 53, RDS, Redshift in a highly available and scalable production environment 
  • Experience with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) 
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment automation tools such as Jenkins, Rundeck, AWS CloudFormation, Terraform 
  • Experience supporting, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed mission critical systems 
  • Systematic problem-solving approach and strong sense of ownership to drive problems to resolution.  Hands on experience with Linux systems administration and architecture 
  • Experience with configuring, managing, and supporting AWS environments 
  • Network knowledge (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, Load balancing) and prior network administration experience is a plus 
  • Experience documenting processes, systems, environments, and runbook procedures 
  • Experience with source control tools such as GIT/GitHub/GitLab

New York and New Jersey Residents Only: The salary range for New York City, NY and Westchester County, NY is $143,980 – $278,880.  The salary range for Ithaca, NY is $125,200– $232,400.  The salary range for Jersey City, NJ is $150,240 – $278,880.  Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Change Healthcare offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
