Environmental Due Diligence Project Manager (SF Bay Area)

ERM is seeking an experienced Environmental Due Diligence Project Manager in theSan Francisco Bay Area. This role entails managing a global portfolio on site for a large Silicon Valley hardware and software technology company . The candidate should be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, all over the world, and be able to effectively communicate findings and results internally to corporate stakeholders, and proactively manage external EHS consultants. The role encompasses running due diligence projects, effectively scoping them, selecting a suitable consultant, and managing the process, with a view to effectively controlling and managing corporate EHS/ESG and reputational risk. This is an opportunity to work for a Key Client in a critical role, and in an exciting and fast-moving TMT environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Manage and perform complex environmental due diligence projects involving multi-site portfolios and multi-person project teams locally, nationally, and globally. * Manage environmental due diligence assessments consistent with E1527-13 standards and other global protocols. * Help clientswith internal processes for managing transaction risks.Work with clients to find solutions to transaction-driven issues, including ESG, EHS regulatory compliance, management systems and performance, multi-media impact, and reputational risk stewardship. * Effectively communicate findings and results internally to corporate stakeholders. * Proactively manage external EHS consultants. REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science or related discipline. * 5 to 10 years of experience working on EHS/ESG due diligence projects, preferably in a consulting environment. * Solid knowledge of E1527-13. * Understanding of core business and legal concepts of business transactions. * Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; experience writing comprehensive technical reports. * Prior experience in the field, various sampling methodologies (soil, groundwater, soil gas, soil vapor, indoor air) and remediation is highly desired. * Ability to understand raw data and other analytical reports. * Ability to develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with stakeholders. * Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.
