Salary Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
Responsible for all activities associated with designing the OSU network both physical and logical as well as providing network management tools and infrastructure. Administration of the university voice telecommunications environment and its peripherals. Provide leadership and management to technical support professionals. Ensure that appropriate institutional security is deployed. May require occasional travel. Periodically this position requires work after 5 pm and on weekends and requires continual availability by cellular device. Due to communication expectations of the position, the incumbent will be required to maintain cellular or other electronic communication device. The salary includes additional compensation to apply toward the use of their personal cellular device.
Education & Experience Position Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Requires combined five years of supervisory and comparable enterprise telecommunications environment experience. The incumbent should have a good working knowledge of telephony, network architecture and network management; be knowledgeable of network security protocols, be able to communicate at all levels of administration; understand employee administration and motivation; possess superior time/task management skills. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
Preferred: Three years of Cisco network experience CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) Certification Oklahoma State University (OSU) strives to provide a safe study, work, and living environment for its faculty, staff, volunteers and students.
