Leads the design, operational delivery, and technical management of all Data Warehouse initiatives for Deckers Brands, whilst ensuring these initiatives support company goals and IT strategies. Working closely with the Solution Design team, OBIEE team and wider business stakeholders, acting as the lead developer of Deckers Brands Data Warehouse suite, including Amazon Web Services, Oracle GoldenGate and Redshift. Actively participates in projects and working parties, or carries out any other duties outside the standard remit, that will benefit the individual, the Division or the Company as a whole. Act as a key Data Warehouse expert within the Analytics team to drive successful adoption of best practice, standardization of data provision to the data warehouse, and proactive management of data refresh and accuracy. Provide a bridge between the analytics delivery organisation and the infrastructure and Integration teams at Deckers, acting as the data warehouse systems expert in partnership with various departments and third parties to deliver technology solutions that meet the system and process needs of Deckers Brands. Demonstrate a strong understanding of industry best practice for data warehousing and associated tools from both a technology and usage perspective. Develop ETL specifications, source to target mappings and other documentation required for ETL development. Ensure appropriate documentation is generated, maintained, and stored centrally. Lead the Enterprise Data Warehouse ETL development, deployment, and monitoring. Support the day-to-day work of the Analytics function by offering help, advice, and troubleshooting on the systems that have been implemented. ata Warehouse Implementation and Management Once business reporting requirements have been identified – research and propose solutions to meet the requirements, agreeing the most appropriate data provision solution with the relevant project teams. Work with the PMO to contribute to the definition of project plans and timetables and identify appropriate resources. Work with Local & Global resources to ensure that projects stay on track. Ensure that the relevant project manager is up to date with project progress to support effective communication. Assist users and the QA function with developing any necessary testing documentation and/or training material for the Data Warehouse and associated technologies. Work with the relevant project team to facilitate user acceptance testing for BI deliverables that have required additional Data Warehouse work. Provide a robust Data Warehouse infrastructure and ensure required training and documentation is provided to the technical infrastructure management team as solutions as passed into the production environment. Technical Delivery & Best Practice Develop ETL specifications, source to target mappings and other documentation required for ETL development. Lead the Enterprise Data Warehouse ETL design, development, deployment, and monitoring. Ensure appropriate documentation is generated, maintained, and stored centrally. Design and develop globally relevant solutions that take account of localization requirements such as time zone, geography, and currency. Work with the user and IT communities to perform an analysis of reporting issues and support the resolution process as appropriate. Liaison with the Solution Design team and other departments Develop a strong understanding of Deckers systems and interdepartmental relationships, ensures that all Data Warehouse implementations and changes take into account any operational impact, working with the teams concerned to appropriately integrate with the companys systems. Responsible for ensuring requirement, specifications, and test scripts/scenarios meet user expectations. Additional Responsibilities Compilation of usage, performance reports, and documents as directed. Assist the user community with process documentation and develop a strong understanding of their processes. Ensure the users are adequately trained in the usage of systems, supporting training programs as needed. Measures Projects delivered as defined, to agreed timescales, and within budgets. Consistent delivery of Data Warehouse requirements in line with agreed deadlines. Relevant helpdesk incidents maintained within published service levels. Proactively drive root cause analysis and resolution to common issues in order to reduce helpdesk incident volumes.
