POS Systems Specialist

Our POS Project Coordinators work in a stable team environment, implementing complete POS systems and ensuring clients receive the highest, most consistent level of service. This position provides error-free help-desk and on-site support based on knowledge gained through hands-on training and supportive, development-based coaching.


Service: Coordinating point of sale system installation and training for local and non-local clients (occasional overnight travel)
Autonomy: Creating and/or editing POS databases, taking ownership for individual projects
Coordination: System Staging and Setup, Shipping and Receiving, and Inventory Control
Connecting: Working on-site at the client’s business location for "Live Day" support the first time they use their new POS system
Communication: Documenting and reporting any known problems with equipment or staging processes
Teamwork: Provide after-hours (nights and weekends) help-desk support as part of a 24/7 rotation (work from home with provided equipment)
Knowledge: Maintain technical knowledge and expertise associated with multiple software products; applications and hardware specific to customer solutions


* Experience interacting with various clients in a call center / ticket environment
* Multi-tasking and shifting priorities
* Must be able to work in a team environment and accept regular direction and feedback
* High level of initiative, creativity, and resourcefulness
* Detail-oriented with commitment to accuracy and adherence to established procedure
* Able and willing to learn new technologies as needed
* Willing to travel locally and nationally (occasionally) and have reliable transportation (reimbursement provided)
* Position requires rotating shifts [9:00AM-5:00PM and 12:00PM-8:00PM]
* Position requires participation in on-call rotation (from home) on nights and weekends
* Preferred: Experience working with POS systems or other database programming
* Intermediate to advanced computer hardware and operating software knowledge required
* Associates Degree or Technical Certification preferred, but not required
