SMT Machine Operator Programmer Trainee – 1st or 2nd Shift

Kay and Associates is seeking an SMT Machine Operator Programmer Trainee for Siemens Pick-n-Place equipment and associated equipment. Will interact with the Production Engineering Department,Customers and Production Team members to assure accuracy of the programs and prints. Will work in a highly diversified manufacturing facility for printed circuit board, cable/harness and electro-mechanical / box build assemblies, handling requirements from the prototype phase through production. Location:Elk Grove Village, IL Work Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM OR 2nd Shift, Monday Friday, 4:00 PM 12:30 AM As part of the ITAR Compliance Program, all employees must meet the U.S. Department of State requirements to be a U.S. Person. Acceptable documents to be used in determining if an employee is a U.S. Person are as follows (Original documents only, copies will not be accepted): A U.S. passport A U.S. birth certificate issued by the appropriate state authority A naturalization certificate A Permanent Resident Card (AKA: Green Card or USCIS Form I-551) I-688B Employment Authorization Card, annotated with 274a.12(a)(5)" Responsibilities: * Generate programs for Pick & Place equipment * Generate production prints with CircuitCam software * Determine cause of failure and debug programs for optimum performance * Accurately set-up and perform tests on programs * Properly perform repairs to observe defects * Check data accuracy and quality of own work * Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations * Perform other related duties as instructed by manager/supervisor Information/Directions From: * Data collection instructions * Operator processes * Standard operating procedures, departmental work instructions and quality and policy manual * Supervisors/Managers instructions Skills: * Advanced math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, pre-Algebra) * Basic computer skills (i.e. spreadsheets, word processing, and data entry) * Organizational skills * Ability to effectively communicate with supervisor/manager Basic Requirements: * Must be able to comply with ITAR regulations * Must be computer literate * Understanding of electronic circuitry and components * Ability to work on 1^st Shift or 2nd shift * Ability to read and understand work instructions written and verbally communicated in English. * Working knowledge of electronic principles and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) preferred * Accurately read and understand electronic schematics preferred * Must be able to provide documentation to support ITAR requirements Education: * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) * Training and / or knowledge of Electronics or programming NOTE: Any offer of employment is contingent on passing a drug test and a background screen prior to starting.
