Job Description The User Experience team is focused on providing best-in-class user experiences for enterprise informatics software. We’re seeking bright, driven individuals who want to take on complex, scientific subject matter and create awesome user experiences. The intern in this role will assist a cross-functional UX team in designing experiences by employing user-centered design principles along every step of the way. Depending on the candidate’s major, the role can be tailored to focus on interaction design, visual design, or research activities of UX. Qualifications & Requirements * Must be a rising junior in a bachelors program, with a minimum 3.2 GPA (both cumulative and major) * Must be enrolled in a program directly related to the opportunity (HCI, Cognitive Science, etc.) * Science background not required but a desire to learn science is * Must have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment; must be able to work in agile teams * Must have deep understanding and experience (either real-world or course related) of employing user-centered design principles * Must have experience using industry-standard software such as the Adobe suite, Sketch, OmniGraffle, etc.; ability to code not required but is nice to have * The ideal candidate will be excited to employ what they’ve learned through coursework in to the real world of UX; will be hungry to learn from a team of experts and excited to share what they know as well; and, will be self-motivated to help create experiences that will make a significant difference in our customers lives. This role is located in San Diego, CA. The iAspire program only supports F-1 visa status; no other visa types are eligible.
