UX Designer

About the Role: Join our team of UX professionals where you will work on complex medical applications used in a pharmaceutical environment where patient lives are impacted daily. We are currently in the process of completely redesigning our suite of medical applications and the core system that powers our pharmacies. This is an on-going effort phased over the next few years. You will play a key role in this effort working with junior and senior UX designers, visual designers and UX researchers in a highly collaborative and learning environment. Our designs present both unique and complex challenges you will have to work through. But, you won’t have to do it alone and we promise there’s rarely a boring day. You’ll grow your portfolio and sharpen your design skills quickly with our team as we iteratively build out new products and features over the coming years. Job Description: 1. IDEATION You will be routinely assist in presenting concepts, sketches, wireframes, conducting brainstorm sessions, and working sessions with cross functional teams. 2. FRAMEWORKS AND GUIDELINES You will contribute to the design of conceptual frameworks and guidelines at the start of a phase, and consistently implement these frameworks and guidelines with rigor. 3. INTERACTION DESIGN You will demonstrate ability for laying out information architecture on a micro scale. You should be able to digest large volumes of information and make sense of it for the end user. 4. PRACTICE KNOWLEDGE You will maintain cultural awareness of the design landscape and future trends. You will proactively consume relevant content on the practice and processes of UX design. 5. RESEARCH AND TESTING You will regularly contribute to research stimuli creation, attend participant sessions, and take an interest in the insights derived. 6. PROTOTYPING You will solve experience problems through prototyping (as applicable). You should be able to identify and apply the appropriate fidelity of prototype to net an efficient solution. 7. DOCUMENTING You should understand the importance of documenting in a clear, concise, efficient, easy-to-digest manner, making it easy for those who need to approve and build what we’re designing. 8. COMMUNICATION I regularly demonstrate the ability to communicate in a clear, consistent, and transparent manner. Equally I listen well and take action on clear direction. 9. DETAILS You will have an eye for detail, and know it is important for me to make sure we’re designing the best experience possible. In parallel I provide concise UAT input throughout the process. 10. COLLABORATION You should be able to think visually and collaborate with visual designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers, and can do so in both formal and ad hoc settings. 11. OPEN DIALOG You will take initiative to meet early and often with other disciplines. The best work happens when we have open dialog and can engage organically. 12. FEEDBACK You will know how to give and get feedback, both positive and negative, in a constructive way, that helps move the work forward and creates the best experience for everyone. Basic Qualifications: * High School diploma, GED, equivalent certification, or military experience * At least 5 years of user experience with experience design Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Design or Human-Computer Interaction * 6 years of experience with user experience design for digital products * 6 years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite * 6 years of experience with information architecture * 4 years of experience with prototyping tools
