SEG has a position available for an engineer or a scientist to conduct Modeling Simulation and Analysis for Weapon System studies. Candidate will develop models, program and integrate simulations, and report test and analysis results in support of various missile defense initiatives. Key responsibilities are the characterization of overall system performance against threat ballistic and cruise missiles, by the development and use of analytical models and tools to define capability and drive system design. These include supporting ongoing activities in development, integration and use of adversary models, simulation and data with missile flight simulations, surface and airborne radar digital simulations, and integrated weapon systems. Responsibilities include analysis study and test plan development. SEG provides outstanding training to grow the capacity of staff in relevant areas. Responsibilities will include independent research and assessment of system design. Candidate will be responsible for conducting technical studies and communicating their results.
Candidates must possess a degree in Electrical Engineering, System Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics and Statistics (advanced degrees preferred). Strong skills in computer programming, and conducting experiments is desired. Proven performance in conducting Independent Research is desired. Linux programming and scripting proficiency is required. Proficiency in Python and C++ is required. Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g. SVN or Git) is required. Proficiency in MATLAB for data analysis is desired. The candidate must be a US citizen and have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance (refer to: http://www.dss.mil/disco/indus_disco_Intrim.html)
Preferred Qualifications: BS/MS 0-3 years experience
