Fully Remote – US
The Cloud DevOps Engineer is a member of the Core Tech Engineering Team and is responsible for the design, development, and rollout of automated infrastructure-as-code, deployment, and monitoring mechanisms which will support Change Healthcare’s applications in cloud environments. The individual in this role should demonstrate ability to learn new technologies, integrate them with existing enterprise management tools and compliance frameworks.
Plans, designs, develops, and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools.
Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
- Strong knowledge and proven working experience with Cloud infrastructure including deployment and monitoring of available, scalable, secure environments.
- 4+ years and a proven record of success in continuous Integration and delivery of cloud infrastructure and applications in public clouds such as AWS, GCP, Azure
- Automation architecture development and maintenance experience.
- Experience with source control tools such as Git / GitHub / GitLab
- Strong background in Linux and Windows administration
- 3+ years of programming and scripting experience (with a preference for Python, Java)
- Highly analytical thinking skills: ability to decompose complex problems, prioritize issues, and implement sensible solutions
- Good inter-personal skills and ability to learn quickly, independently and with minimal supervision
- Energetic, motivated, and customer focused
- 4+ years of experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- 4+ years of experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef
- 2+ years of experience with containers and container orchestration
- 2+ years of experience with distributed systems, Service-Oriented Architectures
- Practices coding principles such as refactoring, unit testing, and writing clean and modular code
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

New York and New Jersey Residents Only: The salary range for New York City, NY and Westchester County, NY is $105,225 – $183,000. The salary range for Ithaca, NY is $91,500 – $152,500. The salary range for Jersey City, NJ is $109,800 – $183,000.
