Configuration Management Analyst


The job of the Configuration Management (CM) Analyst is to perform the necessary functions to maintain configuration control of aircraft system hardware and software configurations.
  • Develop configuration management plans
  • Establish baselines for new systems
  • Track historical lifecycle of Configuration Items
  • Audit aircraft modifications/installations against baseline configuration reports and drawings
  • Audit mission systems hardware and software against baseline configuration artifacts
  • Support change management by routing problem reports, change requests, and change notifications
  • Lead change review boards and participate in configuration control boards
  • Collect CM-related metrics and generate weekly reports 
  • Generate weekly meeting agendas and meeting minutes
  • Organize program deliverables using collaboration software and CM tools


  • BS degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • Excellent communications skills to interface with customers and peers
  • Proficient knowledge of computer systems, SQL databases, SharePoint, and Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of MIL-HDBK-61A and/or MIL-STD-3046 and other standard industry CM practices
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Eligible to obtain Top Secret clearance
  • Systems engineering experience
  • Knowledgeable on aircraft structures
  • Software CM experience
  • Active Top Secret clearance
