The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Incident Response Software / Tool Developer to join its Bellevue, Washington location.

The Incident Response Software / Tool Developer is focused on advancing the Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) and Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) incident response capabilities.

Position Responsibilities

* Close engagement with incident responders

* Develop and deploy focused hardware/software solutions in support of incident response capabilities

* Maintains an awareness of a broad set of security threats, trends, and research, with fluency in current events and standards in the security community

* Assists with end-to-end security of capabilities with hands on testing, threat modeling, software development, and remediating risks

* Team with incident responders on events and incidents to adjust needed mitigations and quickly resolve tool software / platform issues while maintaining application robustness and security

Qualifications

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

* Strong experience in object-oriented programming languages (Python especially) and web application development

* Strong experience with API architectures (REST, SOAP, Windows, or similar), shell scripting (BASH, PowerShell, or similar), and Unix/Linux.

* Some experience with big data log analysis tools and techniques (gawk, sed, regex, LogParser), and network protocols and technologies (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, SSL, DHCP, SSH, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

* Knowledge of Linux OS file system, processes, services, and authentication.

* Front-End web development experience

* Some experience with attack / malware mitigation

* Understanding of advanced cyber-attack techniques and methodologies

* Understanding of security logging and SIEM concepts

* Technical degree with an emphasis in software development and IT security

* Work experience in Cyber/IT Security

Typical Education / Experience:
Technical bachelor’s degree and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or a Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
