Mid-Level System Administrator

AECOM has an immediate opportunity for a Mid-Level System Administrator to join our team in Rosslyn, VA!

The Mid-Level System Administrator will serve as the lead specialist on Windows issues and provide team coordination. Provide direction and high level technical assistance to other systems managers. Administer and configure network hardware and software resources, such as servers, DNS, databases, etc. and provide protocol and connectivity support to developers of web-enabled applications. Develop, monitor, and maintain utilities and procedures to perform periodic maintenance, backups, shutdowns, recoveries, and diagnostics. Evaluate, recommend, and install software and hardware to facilitate and monitor network throughput and control load balancing. Plan and participate in software and hardware migrations and lead field migration teams. Develop procedures for automating installation of network software via the network. Monitor appropriate security levels of network components. Establish, test and maintain Windows disaster recovery plans. Establish, test and maintain certification/test Windows environment. Create, edit and maintain system documentation. Follow established DS CTO configuration management policy and procedures in the administration of the systems. Respond to DC CTO IT security requests in regards to audits performed by or for the Department. Review Windows system logs for audit purposes and report suspicious activity to Federal management.

Minimum Requirements
* Bachelors degree or course work in computer science or related field (provide official college transcripts for verification).

* Four (4)+ years extensive experience supporting large UNIX/Windows environments.

* Four (4)+ years experience supporting and diagnosing TCP/IP protocols and supporting remote access software and services.

* Four (4)+ years supporting wide area networks.

* Four (4)+ years analyzing, designing, installing, and working with all aspects of the internet.

* Four (4)+ years or more of 2008/2012 experience.

* Four (4)+ years of experience with SAN or NAS technology.

* Four (4)+ years of experience working with Microsoft Systems Management Server.

* Four (4)+ years of experience with Shell Scripting (sh, bash, csh, python, perl).

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* ITIL Certification

* Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to pass and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Metastorm

* Experience with Oracle 9i/10g/11g RDBMS, Oracle 9i/10g Application Server.

* Experience with Shell Scripting, SAN, and Networking technologies.

* Proven experience in working within an ITIL environment

* Valid Drivers License
