Description:At Lockheed Martin, we apply our passion for purposeful innovation to keep people safe and solve the world's most complex challenges. We are seeking a Modeling and Simulation System Engineer to support one of our tactical missile programs. The high potential Modeling and Simulation Lead will take responsibility for the legacy 6DOF and the new Integrated Flight Simulation (IFS). Additional responsibilities will be to conduct of verification and validation of simulation. Direct interaction with the USG customer is expected. Some domestic travel also expected.

• Matlab, C++, Fortran, Ada and/or Python.
• Willingness to work onsite in a classified lab environment.
• Experience with optimal state estimation filters such as KALMAN and Extended KALMAN filter (EKF).
• Mastery of C/C++ programming.
• Contribute to the definition of an operational flight program (OFP) with integrated high fidelity 6DOF simulations.
• Strong math skills in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
