Minimum Education Requirement:
Associate degree in an IT related field or four years’ experience as Signal (25 series) military occupational specialty (MOS) code.
Special Skills/Qualifications Required:
In-depth knowledge of networking principles; internet working with Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), hardware and software installation; windows based and Linux based operating systems; Local Area Network infrastructure including routers (Cisco), switches (Cisco), information assurance tools, printers, scanners, cabling, common user software (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, etc.); and special-purpose training workstations.
In-depth knowledge of U.S. Special Operations Command Tactical Local Area Network (TACLAN) program.
In-depth knowledge of Joint and Army Mission Command applications and collaboration tools such as Cisco Jabber, Internet Relay Chat (IRC), etc.
Shall have commercial certification at IAT Level II in accordance with DoD Directive 8570.01 Certification Requirement Chart.
As a condition of privileged access to any DoD information system, Technician (Mission Command Information Systems) must satisfy both preparatory and sustaining DoD cyber security training and certification requirements.
Additional Desired Qualifications/Experience:
Knowledge of interoperability of simulations to C2 systems. Experience with VMware Professional software.
Experience providing IT support to classroom training environment.
