An employer is looking for a Sr. Data Consultant. They will be a part of a team of consultants working to deliver innovative solutions to clients, using the latest software technology and tools. This individual will need to be able to translate advanced business analytics problems into technical and data design approaches, using primarily Microsoft technologies. They should be able to identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc. This person must also be willing to participate in client-facing sales and marketing activities, which may include presenting at seminars focused on using technology to address business challenges or meeting with the client teams for an on-site architecture design session as the precursor to a potential engagement.

-Degree in Computer Science or related field

-Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or comparable canned reporting tool

-Experience with any object-oriented or functional languages such as Python, R, C#, Java, Scala, etc.

-Data modeling experience, both relational and dimensional

-Experience with database performance tuning

-Experience with Azure DevOps or migrating databases to Azure

-Experience with Oracle

-Experience with stream analytics
-5+ years of relevant professional experience in a Data Engineering/Architecture and Business Intelligence role

-Robust Data Architecture skills set the direction for and possesses a deep understanding of data architecture patterns that integrate with industry trends.

-Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, in both a data modeling and query authoring (SQL) capacity.

-Experience with Azure Analysis Services

-Experience with Azure Data Lake, unless they have experience with Azure Synapse Analysis

-Experience with Azure Databricks, unless they have experience with Azure Synapse Analysis

-Experience with Azure SQL DB

-Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (prev. SQL DW), unless they have experience with Azure SQL DB

-Experience with Azure Data Factory for ETL

-Experience with Power BI
