FactSet provides industry-leading financial information and market data for a wide variety of financial professionals. The processes critical to analytics, reporting, and distribution workflows are managed through services called Portfolio Services and Portfolio Distribution. Portfolio Services ensures the processes and data, critical to clients’ thousands of analytics and reporting workflows, are consistently high quality and is one of the fastest growing products at FactSet.
Portfolio Services Engineers are responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a collection of web applications, services, and frameworks used to implement and support thousands of client-data integration and reporting workflows. They work with a wide range of technologies, from web development and storage solutions to a RESTful service-layer to backend scripting. Web technologies include ******* Web API, AngularJS, and Vue. Database technologies include Microsoft SQL Server for relational data and Elasticsearch for search.
Participate in a fast-paced Agile project to bring a new product to life
Design and develop a new codebase using the latest technologies
Create and use APIs to handle interactions with stakeholders
Build visualizations and UI to make ideas clear and intuitive
Develop a deep understanding of our clients’ workflows
Expertise in browser technologies (HTML/JS/CSS), familiarity with multiple frameworks a plus
Experience with server-side development frameworks such as ******* Web API/MVC, Node.js, or other
Experience building RESTful services
Experience with client-side development frameworks such as AngularJS, Vue, and React
OOP experience, functional programming experience a plus
MSSQL or MySQL experience preferred, NoSQL and Elasticsearch a plus
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
