Enterprise holdings has an opportunity in our Rental Systems for a Software Engineer Supervisor. The Software Engineer Supervisor is an expert in providing end-to-end business intelligence reporting solutions in support of Enterprise Holdings Rental Systems. The Software Engineer Supervisor is a leader both within the team and in the department overall. This leadership is exhibited through the development of team members, an extensive knowledge of best practices, and strategy. This position will play a key role in driving and implementing the strategy based on business and data analysis as well as key business objectives.

This position is located at the Corporate Headquarters in St. Louis, MO.

– Manage a team of Software Engineers that work on the following:

– Development of SQL statements, ETL processes, SSIS packages, and SSRS reporting
– Development and maintenance of automated processes using various tools and technologies
– Development and design of technical and security solutions
– Development of ad-hoc and recurring BI reporting solutions

Manage the performance test planning, execution, and review for all projects

Manage the development and implementation of new processes with IT to support reporting

Lead all rental systems reporting projects and initiatives from start to finish. Partner with internal and external resources to execute

Be an expert in the area of business analysis, data analysis, and the design and development of complex reporting

Serve as mentor and coach for all Software Engineers and provide guidance on projects, information gathering, and understanding of business strategies, goals, and initiatives

Be a leader, a resource, and a value added contributor to the team, department, and Enterprise Holdings in all matters concerning Rental Systems

Keep abreast of industry developments and new technologies

Develop working relationships with members outside of the Rental Systems department including our I.T. and Business partners

– Bachelor’s Degree in Computer related discipline required
– Four (4) or more years of relevant experience with two (2) of those years of experience as a Software Engineer or equivalent role required
– Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience preferred

Two (2) or more years of BI Reporting required

SAS, Data Warehousing/ETL, and Teradata experience preferred

Experience developing using JavaScript libraries and/or frameworks preferred

Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship from our company for an employment based work permit or other work authorization document now or in the future


– Ability to write concise, logical, grammatically correct business correspondence and technical documentation and reports
– Demonstrated experience managing relationships with internal customers and external clients
– Ability to clearly explain technical information (verbally, written, and in presentation format) and apply/summarize for business use
– Self-starter with ability to work productively in both individual and team settings
– Exceptional communication and organizational skills
– Proven ability to build consensus and communicate effectively with all levels of management and technical staff
– Demonstrated ability to lead projects and processes
– Ability to train, assist, and mentor other employees
– Knowledge of, or proven aptitude to learn analytic and reporting tools
– Professional programming experience
– Proven analytic and problem solving skills
– Expert attention to detail
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with increased initiative while demonstrating the ability to manage multiple competing tasks, projects and demands, and informing manager of roadblocks, when appropriate
– Ability to exercise sound judgement to make decisions toward the objective of satisfying all brands
– Ability to maintain confidential information
