Strategy Planning and Delivery Global IT Director

IT is a major function, driving immense change across the organization. We have an aggressive 3 year strategy to become a best in class tech function. This role, in partnership with the Strategy and Transformation team, will help ensure that we are achieving our desired outcomes and provide support and partnership to cross-functional teams
In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a view of the major changes happening across IT, their key results, and intended value
  • Mange our overall governance cadence and forums, providing transparency and guidance to leadership and teams on how we are doing against our top goals
  • Drive strategic planning efforts, working closely with the Strategy and Planning Director, to ensuring we are working cohesively as a team to prioritize the most high impact changes
  • Maintain view of top metrics and continue to build out our KPIs across IT
  • Manage connection of local and global demand, working collaboratively with product owners, Local Managers, and others to drive decision making for changes needed
  • Ensure outcomes & key results (OKRs) are well designed and understood, and monitor progress across the IT portfolio
  • Manage full lifecycle of the IT Modernization portfolio in close collaboration with portfolio teams and finance
  • Maintain high-quality portfolio data to support executive decision making
  • Manage demand pipeline for global IT project & resource requests
  • Drive continuous improvements in delivery quality and speed across IT
  • Ensure efficient alignment and compliance to standards for all IT projects
  • Proactively identify systemic issues and challenges that negatively impact delivery efforts, and address as needed


The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex IT initiatives, managing diverse portfolios of projects, thriving in a work environment that requires relationship building, executive presence, and skillful team management. You will excel in:

  • Building networks of influence and strong relationships with stakeholders globally by understanding their challenges and goals
  • Understanding IT strategy, operating models, and digital transformation
  • Ability to connect strategy with execution
  • Executive presence and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Strong presence and the ability to communicate clearly across all levels of the organization, leading and engaging effectively both in 1:1 and large group settings.
  • Leading teams with integrity and transparency, providing clear guidance and support to deliver against expectations
  • Defining Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Understanding delivery in both waterfall and agile delivery frameworks
  • Change Management in a delivery context
  • Setting and driving strategies independently with minimal manager supervision; prioritizing work and taking ownership of projects end-to-end in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
  • Working with a virtual team spread-out across time zones
  • Learning new skills and capabilities, e.g., products, technology platforms
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Being passionate about driving change, teaching, coaching, collaborating with and enabling others in business and technology
  • A flexible, adaptive, and creative mindset and strong business intuition; able to solve complex problems and identify innovative solutions

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science or information systems field
  • Total of 10+ years relevant experience, including proven experience leading global projects and/or portfolios
  • Excellent verbal and written communication that enable you to connect with all levels of the organization. Fluency in English (writing, reading, speaking)
  • Strong relationship building and collaboration skills
  • Problem-solving skills and a willingness to listen and collaborate to support continuous improvement
  • Proven analytical skills, business acumen and ability to make decisions based on hard and soft data
  • Financial literacy and understanding of budget and funding processes
  • Comfortable working in rapidly changing environment
  • Experience working in both waterfall and agile methodologies and working with OKRs
  • Experience in consulting is a plus


As the Senior Strategy Realization Lead, you will collaborate closely with senior leaders in both the IT and Digital Products Organizations, including members of the IT Leadership Team, Tribe Leads, Technical Area Leads, Portfolio Managers, and Program Managers.
