As a Test Engineer at SNC, you will be using your skills and expertise to simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll develop complex test plans and procedures for a variety of systems to ensure the verification and validation of all product requirements. You will also be involved with the execution of the tests using top industry tools. As a cross functional engineer, you'll test system and component level new products and develop new test processes throughout the product lifecycle.

They enjoy learning by doing and will plan and execute test for every innard of an aircraft equipped with the latest technological advancements. The Test Engineer is comfortable asking questions, but can operate autonomously in most situations.

Responsibilities:
Daily responsibilities include planning and coordinating test events, authoring test documents, executing test at the system level, troubleshooting systems, dispositioning discrepancies and nonconformances, contributing to design and readiness reviews, and anything else working with program and hangar personnel to integrate, test, and deliver missionized aircraft. Engineers can expect to participate in lab, ground, and flight testing on ISR programs. Higher level engineers can expect to contribute to the overall team goals and provide mentorship to junior engineers. Working with customers directly as well and SNC representatives in an offsite environment is required.
Must-haves:
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or other related discipline and typically 5 or more years of experience
- Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Knowledge of requirements management, system design, and systems integration
- Experience with planning, conducting and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities
- Maintain an FAA Class II Medical
- Security Clearance
- Obtain a CAC
- Aerospace & Defense experience
Preferred:
- Background/experience with FAA and/or military aviation or aerospace.
- Strongly self-motivated, dependable, and quick to learn.
- Flexible to shifting priorities and adaptable to design changes.
- Prior technical knowledge/expertise of any of the following a plus: aircraft stability & handling, performance, radio and data link communication, GPS and INS systems, avionics, network system architectures.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $104,827.91 – $144,138.38
