The Common Web Platform (CWP) organization is a group in the CTO office of HP Inc. We create, deploy, and operate a set of shared, but independent, cloud-based services for use by HP Inc business units and CTO teams building cloud solutions. Shaping and planning the future of the platform to meet the needs of BUs and CTO teams is complex. Many of the new cloud service innovations HP Inc will offer will depend on CWP services that may or may not exist. There will be numerous cases where the needs and goals of these initiatives will be loosely defined with unknown requirements and dependencies. The Quality and PMO team within CWP has the need for a Senior Program Manager to help orchestrate these initiatives to a successful conclusion. You will take loosely defined initiatives and drive them to defined and actionable projects. This includes establishing clear goals and objectives, clarifying the actual business need and determining the business value of initiatives, making recommendations on what is in the best interest of the CWP platform, and as needed, defining new processes to make initiatives successful. This job will require you to lead initiatives composed of a diverse group of people that span multiple BUs, ultimately creating and aligning on a set of goals that deliver business value. This role will require you to work with people at all levels from individual engineers to SVPs.
– BS in Business or Computer related field
– 8+ years managing programs
– Program management experience with a cloud-based focus
– Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and complex environment while still driving the program to a successful conclusion
– Demonstrated ability to work effectively across BUs and achieve goals
– Demonstrated ability to work with teams globally across multiple locations in different time zones
– Demonstrated ability to establish clear goals and objectives around loosely define programs
– Demonstrated ability to work on a wide array of problem areas and domains
– Demonstrated ability to do basic business planning and modeling to determine the value of an idea
– History of and demonstrated ability to work with, guide, and drive senior individual contributors and executives to achieve desired outcomes
– Be an independent worker, be able to set and achieve goals with little input from management
